La Mer emerged from the Pacific Ocean with Dr. Huber’s discovery, and we sustainably source our Giant Sea Kelp from its waters—specifically, off the pristine coast of Vancouver Island.
In this uniquely nourishing environment, our kelp absorbs vital nutrients (Vitamins K, A, E, and C, as well as magnesium, calcium, iron and antioxidants) and grows up to 2 feet per day, channeling the lifeforce of the deep upward to meet the rays of the sun and the skilled hands of our harvesters.

Our ocean stewards expertly hand harvest our Giant Sea Kelp from only the very top of the forest canopy, allowing sunlight to reach deep into the water and ignite regeneration through photosynthesis.
